At the age of eight, Greg Rohan started collecting coins and by 1971, at the age of 10, he was buying and selling coins from a dealer’s table at trade shows in his hometown of Seattle. His business grew rapidly, and in 1987 he joined Heritage as Executive Vice-President. Today, as President of Heritage, in addition to being the partner in charge of Heritage’s office in New York City, his responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s private client group and working with top collectors in every field in which Heritage is active. Greg has been involved with many of the rarest items and most important collections handled by the firm, including the purchase and sale of the Ed Trompeter Collection (included in the Guinness Book of World Records). During his career, Greg has handled more than $1 billion of property for consignors. He has provided expert testimony for the United States Attorney and for the Federal Trade Commission, and has appeared as an expert on CNN, CNBC, Anderson Cooper, ABC, and CBS. He works with collectors, consignors, and their advisors regarding significant collections in every one of Heritage’s 35 categories. The clients he has worked with have included the families of actor John Wayne and publisher Malcolm Forbes, Random House Publishing, Time-Warner, Frito-Lay, Stanford University, Columbia University, and The Smithsonian Institution to name just a few. Greg is a past Chairman of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) for North Texas, and is a current member of WPO in both Dallas and New York. He is an active supporter of the arts, is an advisor to the board at Austin College, and is a member of the Tate Lecture Board of Directors at Southern Methodist University. He co-authored the award-winning “Collectors Estate Handbook,” and he served two terms on the seven-person Advisory Board at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Kathleen Guzman is a recognized appraiser and auctioneer with over thirty years experience in the art and antiques industry. Ms. Guzman is the Managing Director of Heritage Auctions in New York, the third largest auction house based in Dallas. She has personally auctioned over 1,500 sales with over $1 Million objects valued at over $1 Billion US dollars. She brings 15 years experience from the world-renown international auction house Christie’s, selling such items as a Monet watercolor for $4.3 Million and the Ruby Slippers from the Wizard of Oz for $660,000. She was the former President of Christie’s East and President of Phillips Auctioneers, as well as Senior Vice-President of Business Development at Ebay.


Ms. Guzman is frequently quoted in print, radio and has been seen on television regarding the art and antiques market and spokesperson for the art market on such shows as Oprah, Good Morning America, Today, CNN and Sally Jessy Raphael. She appears as an expert on the PBS series “Antiques Roadshow” for the past seventeen years, as on-air host for Good Life TV, host at QVC, and frequent guest for the Treasure channel satellite cable station in, “Treasure Seekers” and Metro TV’s “Antique Show and Sell”. She also has co-starred for the pilot TV show “For What It’s Worth” with Robin Leach and is a contributing editor to the Miller’s Antique Collector’s Books writing articles recently. She was the Director of Hubert Gallery, specializing in Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso for two years, and is professionally, an independent consultant, a USPAP certified art appraiser, writer and charity auctioneer.


She holds an Executive M.B.A. from Columbia University and has a Master’s Degree in Art History from Queen’s College. Ms. Guzman lectures extensively on the art market for the American Appraiser’s Association, New York University, Bard College and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Ms. Guzman also auctions extensively for charitable causes including Make-a-Wish, Juvenile Diabetes and Housing Works to name a few, with noted celebrities. Her present and past clients include Bloomberg, Inc, the Estate of Marilyn Monroe, Barbra Streisand, the estate of Tom Thumb and the artist John Graham.

Nick began his career in his native England in the late 1960's and brings forty years of experience in the antiques and fine art auction business. He emigrated to New York in 1979 and has pursued his career there as an auctioneer, appraiser, author, lecturer and antiques dealer. He is a former Department Head and auctioneer at Phillips and at Sotheby's in New York, and has organized his own auctions at several prominent auction houses including Doyle and Rago, where his annual events dedicated to the art of Lalique received great critical acclaim between 2000 and 2006. He also conceived and helped organize two of the most successful live auctions of sports memorabilia in the history of the hobby. He has held an annual exhibition and sale of Lalique glass hood ornaments at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance since 1993, and is considered this country's leading authority on the work of Rene Lalique. Nick is the author of three standard works on decorative arts which have collectively sold over 100,000 copies, together with scores of articles, and lectures widely internationally.  He has been a faculty member of Parsons, the New School for Design, since 1984, and has taught Luxury Marketing at Columbia Business School and courses on English and French furniture at the Bard Graduate Center.  He first appeared as an appraiser on 'Antiques Roadshow' for PBS in the second ever broadcast of the show, and has appeared regularly ever since, discussing ceramics, glass, silver and other decorative arts.

Aviva Lehmann joined Heritage in January 2013 after fourteen years in the auction industry. With over ten years of in-depth knowledge and experience in American Art, she holds a broad interest in all aspects of the field. Ms. Lehmann previously served as Vice President, Specialist in the American Art department at Christie’s, where she was instrumental in establishing dozens of auction records in virtually every category of American Art. While directing their mid-season auctions in 2004-6 she doubled the value of these sales. Additionally Ms. Lehmann has lectured on American Art at museums and institutions throughout the country.
Prior to her tenure at Christie’s, Ms. Lehmann worked for two years as assistant curator of Judaica at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. Ms. Lehmann graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Yeshiva University.

Matthew Rubinger joined Heritage as Consignment Director for its Luxury Accessories category, formed in the summer of 2010, encompassing high-end handbags, luggage, wallets, belts and all associated accompaniments. He is one of the foremost specialists in antique, vintage, rare and exotic handbags, accessories, and luggage – from high-end designers including Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, Goyard, Bottega Veneta, Judith Leiber and others. He has been featured in the Washington Post and on CNN for his authentication and valuation skills of designer goods, and is a frequent source for journalists across many different forms of media for his expertise in the luxury accessory category. In 2007 he launched the Accessories Category at Portero.com, a high-end Website for buyers of quality luxury items. The category was a hit and Rubinger’s course was set. Matthew graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in European History.

Rachel Peart, a Kansas native, is a Consignment Director in the Fine Arts Department at Heritage. She joined the company in 2007, starting out in the Historical Department. After a year in her position as the Consignment Coordinator for Rare Books, Rachel became the Project Manager for the Fine & Decorative Arts Department, serving in that capacity for almost two years before becoming a Lead Cataloger in the department.  In June 2010, she was promoted to Associate Consignment Director specializing in Vintage and Contemporary Photography.  She recently transferred to Heritage’s New York office with a promotion to Consignment Director in Fine Art.  Rachel received her BFA in Art History from the University of Kansas and interned with the Registrar at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City.

With a Master's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from the New School for Social Research in New York City, Delia E. Sullivan studied Primitive Art with Ted Carpenter and Shamanism with Michael Harner. She worked for 14 years at Christie's in New York City, seven of which were spent as head of the American Indian Art Department. From 2000 through 2007, Delia managed two auctions a year in that capacity, during which she significantly raised the profitability and reputation of her department.

Michael Fossner is a Consignment Director for Timepieces at Heritage’s New York office. Michael is a Graduate Gemologist and an Accredited Jewelry Professional and the fifth-generation of a family in the watch business. Growing up, Michael learned the trade in his father’s business, New York’s J & P Timepieces, while attending trade shows with his family. He eventually became the company’s website and sales manager, focusing on ecommerce sales of high-end timepieces. Michael also has degrees in International Business and Marketing from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in College Park.  Following his studies, he served six months as an apprentice for a watch dealer in Switzerland.

Cassandra Hutzler originally trained as a ballet dancer in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but once in college realized she preferred the business side of the performing arts better.  After graduating from Butler University (Indianapolis, IN) with a Bachelor of Science in Arts Administration she moved to New York to work at American Ballet Theatre, assisting in fundraising and special events for patrons.  Prior to joining Heritage Auctions in 2010 she worked at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. as a ticket concierge for major donors attending ballet, opera and orchestra performances at the world famous venue.  Cassandra has lived in Manhattan for nearly 20 years, making her a wonderful resource to clients visiting the city.

Mimi was raised in the Baltimore / Washington D.C. area. She graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Sociology. Mimi then continued her education with a Master’s in Museum Studies as well as American Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She later acquired her certification for diamonds and colored stones from the Gemological Institute of America. Presently, Mimi is a PhD. Candidate in Folk Art from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Mimi has worked in both the auction and museum worlds. While in college, she interned for Phillips Auctioneers in the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department. She thereafter interned at the Maryland Historical Society and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Following graduate school, she worked at the Annapolis Historical Society and the Scarsdale Historical Society, where she served as Curator, renovating and refurbishing historic houses. Mimi subsequently returned to the auction world as Head of the Silver Department at Butterfields in San Francisco, eventually transferring to Los Angeles, where she worked in the Trusts, Estates and Specials Sales Department. In 1992, Mimi opened her own fine art and antique appraisal firm, where she additionally acted as an advisor in trust and estate planning.


Mimi has served on numerous civic and philanthropic boards locally and nationally, including Teach for America, Federation of Jewish Charities, Jazz Aspen, Partners in Education, Young Audiences, Institute of Christian and Jewish Studies, Creative Alliance, Baltimore Design School, Pumpkin Theater, and the Jewish National Fund. In 2000, Mimi founded and chaired her own charitable organization, Solid Foundations.

Alex Miller joined Heritage in 2012 as part of the expansion of the company’s New York-based staff of experts.  Alex turned his passion for comics into a full-time job by helping to open and manage the Sunnyvale, CA based comic shop ComicsConspiracy, while in college gaining a degree in Computer Science.  He then spent 12 years as a Wall Street consultant in the fields of computer programming and project management until in 2003, he started a business as an eBay auctioneer specializing in Silver, Bronze and Copper Age key appearance comic books and classic cars from the 1960s and 70s.

Sarah Miller is Director of Numismatics at Heritage’s New York office and brings a lifelong passion for U.S. Coins. A student of numismatics since age 11, she first fell in love with U.S. coins and the history behind them while attending her first coin show. This led to a job in rare coins throughout high school and college, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Central College in Naperville, Ill., with a degree in Finance and Economics. She amassed an impressive list of accomplishments during her studies and is a past member of the Financial Management Association National Honor Society, the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society and was a participant in the Honors Council of the Illinois Region. Sarah assists Heritage clients with their rare coin collections on a daily basis in addition to being a regular contributor to the Heritage Blog. She is also a current member of the American Numismatic Association. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, taking ballet classes, knitting, and baking.
