Description

1806 Half Cent, MS64 Brown
Large 6, Stems, C-4

1806 1/2 C Large 6, Stems, C-4, B-4, R.1, MS64 Brown NGC. Manley Die State 1.0. A lustrous forest-green and cherry-red near-Gem. The dies were rotated 45 degrees clockwise, which caused a localized soft impression near the CA in AMERICA. In 1906, the Chapman brothers bought a hoard of Uncirculated C-4 half cents that had apparently remained together for the prior century. Most high grade pieces originate from that Chapman acquisition. Our EAC grade MS62.
