1908-S 50C MS64 PCGS. CAC. Out of the mintage of 1.6 million pieces only a few dozen higher-grade examples have survived. This representative displays light rose-gold toning that deepens noticeably around the margins. Both sides are enlivened by the bright mint luster, a characteristic of San Francisco products. Population: 19 in 64 (1 in 64+), 17 finer. CAC: 3 in 64, 7 finer (1/17).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5-6/2012), lot 3881; ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2016), lot 4804.(Registry values: N2998)
