Description:

Uncirculated Details 1915-S
Panama-Pacific Round Fifty

1915-S $50 Panama-Pacific 50 Dollar Round--Improperly Cleaned--NGC. Unc Details. With a net mintage of fewer than 500 pieces, the Panama-Pacific fifty dollar round is the marquee rarity of the classic commemorative series, more challenging than the octagonal version that often shares its spotlight and elusive regardless of condition. The present round example, though cleaned in the past and showing dimmed luster and light hairlines as a result, shows no evidence of wear across the devices. The orange-influenced yellow-gold color adds a pleasing note to the eye appeal. All things considered, a readily collectible representative.

We changed the way we image slabbed coins on February 1, 2010, in order to get a more accurate image of the coin. To get the sharper details and more accurate colors we have focused the lighting on the actual coin, which has caused the top of the holders to appear darker and milky. Please disregard the color of the holders when examining the images.
