Description:
1887/6 Silver Dollar, MS66, VAM-2
None Finer Graded at Either Service
1887/6 $1 MS66 PCGS Secure. CAC. VAM-2. A Top 100 Variety. Ex: Bella. The bold lower loop of an underdigit 6 appears to the right of the later 7. This Top 100 variety is so popular that it is listed in the Guide Book, opening it up to the large number of collectors who assemble sets following that reference. This Premium Gem example is tied for numeric finest with eight other submissions at PCGS, and there are none finer (6/12). Radiant cartwheel luster is prominent on both sides, with much more field-device contrast on the reverse than on the obverse. The frosty silver-white surfaces show little obvious contact.(Registry values: P4, N4719) (NGC ID# 254Z, PCGS# 7174)
