A Single Unlocated Proof Reported
1829 10C Small 10C MS65 PCGS. JR-4, R.2. The obverse has a minuscule crack from the outer point of star 5 to the border, and the reverse is perfect on this early strike. A single proof has been reported from this die pair, although that specimen is unlocated today. This piece is a stunning and fully original example with prooflike fields and lustrous devices beneath lovely iridescent toning. The design elements are boldly rendered with full stars and hair curls on the obverse, and sharp feathers on the reverse.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 2378, PCGS# 4511)
