Copper Judd-750 1869 Standard Silver Half Dollar, Ex: Bass
1869 50C Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-750, Pollock-833, R.7, PR65 Brown PCGS. Ex: Bass. Standard Silver half dollar with the bust of Liberty facing right, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is above and IN GOD WE TRUST is located on a scroll in the exergual area below the bust. The reverse has 50 CENTS in the center and is surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak with STANDARD SILVER at the upper margin and 1869 below. Less than a dozen pieces are believed known today. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Deeply mirrored, the surfaces are light brown and rose with olive-green being the dominant color on each side. A spectacular Gem example.
