Astounding Collections of Canadian Coins & Currency featured in Heritage's September Long Beach Signature Auctions
DALLAS, TEXAS: The Dominion and Wellington Collections of Canadian Coins, and the Halton Lake Collection of Canadian Currency will be offered by Heritage Auction Galleries in their September 2006 Long Beach Signature Auctions. Heritage is the Official Auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo. These Signature Auctions will be held September 14-15, while the Signature Auction of U.S. Coins will occur September 13-16 at the Long Beach Convention Center, 100 South Pine Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802.
"When I catalogued the Belzberg Collection in late 2002," noted Warren Tucker, Heritage's World Coin Director, "I couldn't imagine that I would ever see another catalog of Canadian coinage that would approach its quality. Then three years later, I started to look through the wonderful coins of the Dominion Collection, and realized that another great collection had been formed. Then the Wellington Collection arrived in Dallas. With many of the rarities coming from the Norweb, Pittman, Mason, and Belzberg collections, that shouldn't be too surprising!"
"From the early issues of the Provinces," added Tucker, "through the great rarities of Confederation, these collections - plus additional coins from consignors who wished to be included - speak of the great numismatic tradition of our northern neighbor. Anyone who regrets not buying more treasures from these earlier events - or even many finer examples - now has a second chance to pursue the finest pedigreed Canadian coins in the marketplace! Our Long Beach Signature Auction is sure to be legendary among Canadian collectors for decades to come."

The Belzberg coin was also an AU55 PCGS, but it was not as nice as this piece.
