Zach received a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1992. Having worked primarily in the Information Systems field as a network admin or project manager for various firms since graduation, he left the industry to open his own coin dealer business full-time in 2003. Self-taught and specializing in ancient coins, Zach continued to run the business while participating extensively in online forums, developing a reputation for meticulous cataloging and research, leading to a position as co-writer for one of the columns in the Celator Magazine, where he received an award in 2005 for "Best Column" from the Numismatic Literary Guild for "The Internet Connection."
In 2013, he accepted the position of customer service manager for an online website for coin dealers and remained for 4-1/2 years until joining the world and ancient coin department at Heritage in June 2017. Bringing his enthusiasm for cataloging, Zach greatly enjoyed preparing the popular, and growing, weekly internet sessions, as well as the signature auctions, to assist collectors in better understanding the complex and beautiful arena of ancient numismatics. Since joining the team, the world and ancient coins department has seen explosive growth in sales and has been awarded NLG awards each year for Best Auction Catalog of World Coins: 2018 (August ANA Platinum Night); 2019 (Morris Collection, August Central States); 2020 (NYINC Platinum Night); 2021 (Paramount Collection, August Central States).
Having been promoted to Director of Ancient Coins in 2021, his primary duties now involve negotiating consignments, but still is the primary cataloger for the signature ancient auctions (Platinum Session, Signature Session, and Showcase auctions).

Marc Emory was born in northern Virginia, where he grew up the son of a Washington D.C. newspaper correspondent. As a child of the Washington political scene, he visited the White House at age 13 and Capitol Hill many times. Like many children of Washington, he attended the Sidwell Friends School. He was then accepted for the School Year Abroad program in Barcelona. He then went on to graduate from Andover (1970) and, four years later, graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania (1974) with a degree in Spanish. He has always had an interest in languages, and while at Penn, he was introduced to German and Swedish and continued his studies in Spanish and Russian from high school. In addition to those four languages plus Catalan, a byproduct of his year in Barcelona, he has since learned French, Italian, and Dutch. Always interested in collectibles, Marc was impressed from early childhood by the Smithsonian collections of both coins and minerals, which were within walking distance of his father's office at the National Press Building at 14th and F streets in Washington, D.C. He maintains an extensive collection of minerals at his German home near the Rheinland city of Dusseldorf, which he shares with his wife, Elisabeth, of 43 years.
Marc also has a collection of U.S. and world coins and an assortment of guitars hand-crafted by legendary luthier Bozo Podunavac. A musician by hobby, he has made recordings and done solo concert tours in his spare time. He has performed before Presidents Ford and Clinton. Marc has been with the Heritage organization without interruption for over fifty years, the first seven with one of the firms that later merged to form Heritage. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Marc founded and oversees the operations of the Heritage Overseas offices, which are now in France (since 1979), Germany (since 1979), Switzerland (since 1984), and the Netherlands (since 1990). The European offices, under Marc's supervision, offer Heritage services to collectors, consignors, and estates in their own countries and languages, as well as to banks and Central Banks around Europe and the world.

Thomas started his numismatic journey as a curious 8-year-old kid who found a coin in Rio de Janeiro’s ocean. By the age of 12, he started dealing coins and currency in Brazil. With an interest in Latin, ancient and medieval numismatics, he specialized in such coins and made a career in numismatics, with a brief hiatus to get his Law degree. After seeing that law practice wasn’t for him, Thomas decided to return to the coin business. With a close friend, he formally opened Aletho Numismatics in 2020, a successful venture that cemented Thomas as a key lecturer and active participant in the Brazilian Numismatic Society. Thomas brought his expertise to the World and Ancient Coins team at Heritage Auctions in 2021, where he currently works with World coins from accross the globe. Thomas is conversant in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
