Double Reverse Euro Cent MS63 Red

(2000-2007) Euro Cent--Struck With Two Reverse Dies--MS63 Red NGC. The Euro coinage, introduced in 2000, has a standard reverse for each denomination. The obverse is determined by the country of issue, e.g. Italy, France, etc. This Euro cent was inadvertently struck with two reverse dies, thus its country of origin is unknown. Listed and photographed on page 195 of Mike Byers' reference World's Greatest Mint Errors.
