1915-S $50 Panama-Pacific 50 Dollar Octagonal--Obverse
Improperly Cleaned--NGC. Unc Details. With their distinctive
shape and undeniable scarcity, the octagonal fifty dollar
Panama-Pacific commemoratives are forever collector favorites. The
present example shows two slightly different looks; while the
yellow-orange obverse has had its luster dulled by a past cleaning,
the minimally abraded reverse is decidedly more lively. Neither
side shows any evidence of wear. This coin could make either a
comparatively affordable cornerstone to a classic gold
commemorative set or an attractive display piece to show off the
