Description

Choice 1878 Three Dollar

1878 $3 MS64 NGC. Delicate peach and olive-gold toning visits this lustrous and minimally abraded three dollar piece. A good candidate for a quality type set. The 1878 has a significantly lower mintage than the 1854, but a greater number of examples were set aside, perhaps by banks as a bullion reserve.
