Description
Fantastic MS66 1904 Twenty
1904 $20 MS66 PCGS. The 1904 double eagle is among the most famous type issues in all of U.S. coinage, particularly in grades such as MS63 and MS64. Though Gems and even Premium Gems are available for a price rather than scarce, finer examples are practically nonexistent; PCGS has certified just two such pieces (1/10). Thus, an MS66 coin such as the present piece represents the pinnacle for many collectors. Potent orange-gold luster shows occasional elements of both yellow and deep peach, adding variety to the color. Excellent striking and surface characteristics define the grade, and the smooth cheek of Liberty is particularly noteworthy.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CY, PCGS# 9045, Greysheet# 9839)
