An ANACS certified 1938 proof set that includes: 1938 1C Cent PR63 Red and Brown ANACS, the obverse is full red, a blush of violet patina on the reverse; 1938 Nickel PR65 5 Steps ANACS, attractive powder-blue and gold color; 1938 Dime PR62 ANACS, brilliant and bold, attractive for the grade; 1938 Quarter PR62 ANACS, brilliant, wispy slide marks on the neck; and a 1938 Half Dollar PR61 ANACS, needle-sharp, lightly toned, faint handling marks.Ex: Gilbert Steinberg Collection (Superior, 9/1996), lot 1823.
