Description

1870-CC 50C VG8 PCGS. The L, T, and Y are present on the shield, validating the VG8 grade by at least Redbook standards. The fields are deeply toned while the devices are light grey, presenting a pleasing contrast that brings out the details better than if it was a uniform color. A rim bump is noted at 2:00 relative to the obverse, but that is the only imperfection worthy of individual note on this challenging and very popular Carson City issue.(#6328) (Registry values: N991)
