1856-D XF 45 NGC. With only a scant mintage of 1,460 pieces, this date is exceedingly rare in any grade. This piece is typical for the date and mint. There is some weakness on the hair of Liberty and on the date with the 5 being softly defined as usual. A rare opportunity to own this elusive Dahlonega gold dollar. Trends $6,000 in XF 40, $9,250 in AU 50.
