1773 Virginia Halfpenny, Newman 8-H
1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period VF Details, Corroded, NCS. Seven Harpstrings, Newman 8-H. A circulated mahogany-brown example that has an untroubled reverse and a series of small pits on the left obverse. Likely a very scarce die pairing, given the low grade of the Newman (1956) plate coin. Listed on page 43 of the 2006 Guide Book.From The Oak Collection of American Colonial Coinage.(#243)
