Large Planchet, Late Dies Noe-6
1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet AU55 PCGS.
Ex: Ford. No Pellets, Reversed first N in ENGLAND. Crosby 5a-B2,
Noe-6, R.6. 69.4 gns per PCGS, 69.2 gns per Ford XII. Unusually
late dies for Noe-6, with the M on each side nearly illegible
because of die breaks. The letter W is clashed above the I in IN.
Slightly wavy, as struck, but the partly lustrous gunmetal-blue and
autumn-brown surfaces are generally smooth despite a moderate
roundish mark before the D in DOM. Listed on page 37 of the 2008
