Description

1898 $1 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. A wondrous proof Morgan with contrast that simply cannot be excelled. The devices are chalky-white and provide a strong cameo against the unfathomably deep mirrors in the fields. The surfaces are virtually perfect. In fact, the appearance of this piece could only be improved upon by a new holder. The current one is somewhat scuffed and one has to look closely to see the scratches are on the holder--but they all are. Completely brilliant on each side with no trace of color even around the margins. Census: 15 in 67 Ultra Cameo, 2 finer (5/08).
