1904 $10 PR64 Cameo ANACS. Boldly detailed on both sides with vibrant green-gold color, this remarkable near-Gem proof has exceptional contrast between the deeply mirrored fields and the lustrous devices. Struck at a time when contrast was discouraged on proof coins, this piece represents the exception, not the rule. A few faint surface marks are evident on each side, mostly planchet flakes and tiny lint marks as struck. It is a borderline Gem in our opinion, one of the nicest 1904 proof eagles currently available in the numismatic marketplace.(Registry values: P1)
