Description

1796 10C Fair 2 PCGS. JR-6, R.3. A die crack connects the numerals 179 in the date, confirming the variety on this heavily worn Draped Bust Small Eagle dime. Light to medium silver-gray surfaces show a partial outline of the Liberty motif, the letters BERTY are strong, stars 9 and 10 show, and the reverse is worn smooth except for a faint outline of about three quarters of the eagle. A few minor marks are scattered about, but none can be considered serious. Essentially, this piece has seen just honest wear.(Registry values: P7)
