Glittering 1897 Barber Half, Ultra Cameo Proof 68 NGC
1897 50C PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC. Completely brilliant and just shy of perfection in a Proof Barber Half Dollar, being given even greater significance by the contrast exhibited between the watery fields and the chalky devices. As a future identifier, a tiny pinscratch is noted just under star 7 on the obverse. Those who appreciate high quality, untoned type coins will no doubt find this outstanding specimen nearly irresistible. Population: 7 in 68, 1 finer (11/03).
