Gorgeous 1866 Motto Half, PR66
1866 50C Motto PR66 NGC. Vivid iridescent hues of gunmetal-blue, purple, and sunset-gold gravitate to the margins on each side of this first-year With Motto issue, leaving the centers a soft champagne-gold. Sharply struck and nicely preserved. Certainly one of the finest survivors from a mintage of 725 proofs. Census: 7 in 66, 1 finer (2/09).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27TZ, PCGS# 6424, GSID# 6462)
