S-170, Second Hair Style
1798 1C Second Hair Style XF45 NGC. S-170, B-29, R.3. This
well detailed example is principally chocolate-brown, although
slightly deeper toning is seen left of the C in CENT. Close
inspection locates a couple of subtle gray spots and a few small
ticks on the nose and right obverse field. Elusive in problem-free
VF and better grades. EAC 20.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1434, Greysheet# 777)
