Scarce Mint State Sharpness 1894-S Dollar
1894-S $1--Altered Surface--NCS. Unc. Details. The central areas are brilliant with wisps and tinges of golden-brown and violet visible at the borders. Both surfaces exhibit pronounced prooflike character although there is no such designation on the NCS label. Magnification reveals faint mint-caused die polish lines in the reverse field. Most design features are sharp save for a few strands of hair above Liberty's ear.(Registry values: P6, N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255X, PCGS# 7232, GSID# 7618)
