Pleasing 1858/7 One Cent, FS-006, Snow-1
1858/7 1C AU58 PCGS. FS-006, Snow-1. Large Letters, High Leaves, Closed E. The "flag" or upper right corner of a 7 is seen above the second 8 in the date, and a raised dot in the field above the first 8 is visible. Bill Fivaz and J. Stanton (2000) state that the latter "...is unique to the genuine overdate, and is used as a diagnostic." This AU58 piece displays remarkably clean tan surfaces and exquisitely defined design elements.
