Description

Charles I (1625-49) Crown ND (1631-32). S-2758. Tower Mint under the king. Rose mintmark. VF, excellent two-tone gray toning, remarkable surfaces with nary a mark, pleasing odd-shaped flan with the letters clear and almost complete to the smallest detail. The rose mm is also exceptionally clear and sharp on the obverse in particular. Not noted in the Spink guide, this coin also has noticeably smaller letters in the legends on both sides. All in all, a real treat and worth a strong bid.
