Beautiful 1867 Gem Cameo Proof Half Dollar
1867 50C PR65 Cameo PCGS. Mildly frosted design elements appear to be suspended above the glassy fields of this beautiful Cameo. A powerful strike seems to enhance the field-motif contrast even more, regardless of the angle of view. Electric-blue, lavender, and golden-tan at the obverse margin yields to soft gold-champagne in the center. The latter dominates the reverse, transitioning to deeper reddish-gold at the periphery. A few trivial obverse field marks may well preclude an even higher grade. Population: 6 in 65 Cameo, 3 finer (8/08).From The Sundance Collection.
