Elizabeth I gold 5 Roubles 1756 СПБ, Large Letters, Bust right/Cross of four crowned shields, Bit-84 (R1),Diakov 376 (R3), Petr (35), XF Details, boldly struck with gleaming surfaces and remnants of original luster, particularly on the reverse. Unfortunately, the reverse has scratches in the upper right and left field, and close examination of the obverse reveals light scratches in the left field. In spite of the flaws, this is an extremely rare issue with nice eye-appeal. We can find only 2-3 sales of this type in the last 10 years, and none in the last three years. There may be sales of which we are not aware, but suffice it to say, the type is an extremely rare, one-year issue, and is seldom offered.More information about Russian Coins.
