Patinated Choice 1896 Half Dollar
1896 50C MS64 PCGS. This satiny Choice Barber half is lushly toned in olive-green and rose-red. The strike is virtually full, even near the right shield corner. Beautifully preserved aside from a faded thin horizontal mark on the neck. Lower mintage than usual for a Philadelphia issue. Population: 26 in 64, 18 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24LV, PCGS# 6474, GSID# 6557)
