Lovely 1794 Ornate Large Cent
1794 1C Head of 1794 AU58 NGC. S-28, R.2. This is a lovely cent with light golden-brown and olive coloration on both sides. Exceptional, nearly perfect surfaces with sharp design features and excellent eye appeal. Some luster remains on both sides of this beauty. Maris called this the "Ornate" variety, and it is easily recognized by the reverse with a single leaf overlapping the branch beneath RI. This reverse was paired with two different obverse dies to create S-27 and S-28. EAC 45.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 223M, PCGS# 901374, GSID# 723)
