Lustrous 1865 Double Eagle, AU55
1865 $20 AU55 NGC. The surfaces are fully original with dark patina over rich green-gold luster. A single scratch in the left obverse field is the only significant mark on this otherwise exceptional piece. Hints of pink and iridescent toning intermingle with the frosty luster to create excellent eye appeal.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 269U, PCGS# 8943, GSID# 9802)
