Description
PCGS Graded MS67 1877-S Half Dollar
1877-S 50C MS67 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. A Superb Gem with gorgeous peripheral gold and iridescent toning around ivory centers on both sides. The obverse includes some pale blue-green and lilac color. A few diagonal striations are present across Liberty's leg, the result of drawing the planchet stock to the required thickness for coining. In addition to these Mint caused marks, a few tiny abrasions are also present. This is the only MS67 example certified by PCGS (5/06) with none finer, and it was apparently just graded.(Registry values: N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24KM, PCGS# 6357, GSID# 6374)
