Gem Cameo Proof 1895 Quarter Eagle
1895 $2 1/2 PR66 Cameo NGC. A glittering yellow-gold Gem with exceptional color and wonderful contrast. The devices are highly lustrous with brilliant yellow color while the deeply mirrored fields have speckled gold and lilac toning, especially on the obverse. A few tiny raised pimples are seen on Liberty's forehead and cheek. A tiny point extends down from Liberty's inner bun, a hallmark of Proof examples of this issue. This is an important date, given the overall mintage of just 6,000 business strikes and 119 proofs.
