Description
2001-P $1 Sacagawea Dollar--U.S. Mint Experimental Rinse (Anti-Tarnishing Agent)--MS64 PCGS. Following initial complaints about discoloration on the 2000 Sacagawea "golden dollars," the U.S. Mint conducted a series of experiments with various rinses intended to discourage tarnish. Judging by the olive and mushroom-brown surfaces of this luminous Choice piece, the particular experiment represented here was unsuccessful.Auction Info
