Affordable 1855-C Quarter Eagle

1855-C $2 1/2 --Cleaned--ANACS. MS60 Details. Variety 16-I. A modestly cleaned example of this elusive C-mint, one of a mere 3,677 pieces struck. While researching the statistics published in 1998 by Doug Winter in his book on Charlotte gold, we find the lower Condition Census includes coins at the MS60 level. Numerous hairlines somewhat dull the remaining luster.(Registry values: P2)
