Description

1929-D 25C MS66 Full Head NGC. The obverse is virtually untoned and brilliant, with just a light silver-gold cast, but the reverse offers lovely lilac-gold coloration. This issue is extremely underrated and undervalued with full head details: Standing Liberty quarter expert Jay Cline says that less than 2% of the coins have full heads. This piece not only has full head details, but the shield rivets are all struck up, and the details elsewhere are bold. An extremely eye-appealing piece that fully merits Premium Gem status. Census: 10 in 66 Full Head, 0 finer (11/08).
