Demand for proof Buffalo nickels dropped sharply from 1913 to 1914, with the latter year's mintage of 1,275 specimens falling below the total for either the Type One or Type Two proofs of 1913. This exquisitely detailed Premium Gem is richly textured beneath dappled orange and sage patina.
