Luminous Mint State 1895-O Dollar
1895-O $1 MS60 PCGS. CAC. Each side offers soft, pleasing luster with a hint of satin, far from the "dull, insipid luster" Q. David Bowers describes as common in his A Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars. The strike, however, is more typical, with significant softness noted around Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast. Variable silver-rose and golden-tan toning crosses much of each side. The MS60 designation is a fair grade, considering the numerous wispy abrasions that populate the fields, yet the coin retains appreciable eye appeal and shows no trace of wear, as attested to by the PCGS certification grade and the CAC sticker.(Registry values: P9, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255Y, PCGS# 7236, GSID# 7620)
