Splendid 1894 Dollar, MS62
1894 $1 PR62 NGC. Because of the rarity of 1894 business strikes, proofs of this year as especially popular. Only 110,000 business strikes were minted, along with just 972 proofs. Deep violet-gray patina surrounds the perimeter, which contrasts nicely against the steel-gray centers. The toning is a little streaky in some areas and partially obscures the luster, but there is still nice reflectivity under a light. The strike is sharp, and the surfaces are remarkably unabraded for the grade. Housed in an old NGC holder.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2577, PCGS# 7329, GSID# 7838)
