Description

1883/2 5C AU55 ANACS. An olive-gray example that has some green patina on the reverse border. The reverse is sharply struck, but the obverse has some weakness of strike on the legends, leaves, and shield lines. A tiny planchet flaw (as struck) resides east of the date. A scarce overdate variety from an important transitional year.
