Description

Brilliant 1907 No Periods Eagle, MS63

1907 $10 No Periods MS63 ANACS. This is a splendid example of what might well be called the "Saint-Gaudens eagle," in emulation of the double eagle series styled after the famous sculptor. The surfaces are brilliant yellow-gold that is set off nicely by the ANACS gold-label insert. A couple of minor contact marks well hidden in the Indian's headdress account for the grade, but the luster is gorgeous and the eye appeal is right.(Registry values: N1793)
