Rare 1936-D Three and a Half Legs Nickel
FS-901, VF20
1936-D 5C 3 1/2 Legs VF20 PCGS. FS-901, formerly FS-019. The
1936-D 3 1/2 Legs variety is significantly rarer than the well
known 1937-D Three Legged nickel, and it carries a much higher
premium despite the popularity and publicity associated with the
latter variety. This cream-gray example has a sharp date and
mintmark, and the few minor marks need no further description.
