Incredible 1898 Morgan, PR67 Ultra Cameo
1898 $1 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. Despite a proof mintage of 735 coins, few examples have survived like this black and white Superb Gem with its Ultra Cameo contrast. The devices are fully brilliant silver-white with intense mint frost, while the fields are mirrored with seemingly unlimited depth. Both sides have a frame of light champagne toning that is limited exclusively to the rims. Some consider the 1898 proofs to be the best made of the series, and this specimen is seemingly one of the best made of the date; the best of the best.
