Outstanding 1909 Quarter Eagle MS66
1909 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. A silky-smooth Premium Gem whose satiny surfaces are bathed in delicate orange and lilac patina. Far fewer examples from this second year of issue were spared from commerce than were the premier 1908 quarter eagles, making them scarcer across the board in Uncirculated grades. Collectors and dealers alike often have trouble grading Mint State representatives of this captivating and unusual incuse design, but at this lofty level only a quick glance is necessary to determine that this is one exceptional Indian Quarter Eagle.
