Description

Desirable 1821 N-1 Cent

1821 1C XF45 NGC. VF30 EAC. N-1, Early Die State, R.1. Both large cent varieties of 1821 are common, but this date is considered a semi-key issue by avid collectors. Both varieties are elusive in the highest circulated grades and are rarities in Mint State. There is no evidence of weakened or merged dentils, nor is there any indication of die cracks or other die defects. Light tan surfaces have a hint of olive and pale brown color with some deep reddish patina on the reverse. Slight green corrosion and verdigris is present on the reverse.
