Description
Desirable High Grade Six-Piece
Set of 1909-Dated Cents, MS65 to MS67 Red
Six-Piece 1909-Dated Cent Set MS65 to MS67 Red PCGS. All of
the cents bear a CAC sticker on their PCGS holders. A rare
opportunity to acquire all major varieties of 1909-dated cents in
high grade in one fell swoop. The set includes:1909 Indian Cent MS65 Red PCGS. CAC. This beautiful sun-gold Gem has a powerful strike, and the fields are remarkably devoid from marks. Even the cheek has only trace contact, and since the obverse is nearly carbon-free, the grade is limited solely by a few tiny flecks on the reverse.
1909-S Indian Cent MS65 Red PCGS. CAC. The low mintage and key date Gem has rich orange-gold color. The strike is precise, and since abrasions are virtually absent, only the occasional minuscule carbon fleck on the reverse prevents a finer grade. Housed in a green label holder.
1909 VDB Lincoln Cent MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. This fire-red Superb Gem has imposing eye appeal and outstanding cartwheel luster. A strong loupe is required to locate the few microscopic imperfections. Exactingly struck except for the center of the VDB initials.
1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. A wonderful Premium Gem with dazzling luster and an essentially unabraded obverse. The canary-gold fields and devices appear smooth, and the reverse has only a couple of tiny flecks. Fully struck, even on the VDB initials. A traditional series key, due to its low mintage and numismatic importance.
1909 Lincoln Cent MS67 Red PCGS. CAC. A practically pristine Superb Gem whose lovely peach-gold and lime surfaces are virtually bereft of both carbon and contact. Well struck at the centers, with unimportant inexactness seen on peripheral elements.
1909-S Lincoln Cent MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. Original blends of olive and pumpkin-orange grace this lustrous and impeccably preserved piece. Meticulously struck, and the reverse appears pristine, as does the obverse save for pinpoint flecks near the profile. A popular low mintage first-year branch mint issue.
