Description
Superb Gem 1907 No Periods Indian Ten
1907 $10 No Periods MS67 NGC. A magnificent Superb Gem of this introductory business strike issue. Cartwheel luster dominates both fields and devices, and both sides are virtually immaculate. The strike is bold, since only the eagle's right (facing) claw lacks absolute detail. A partial wire rim is present along the right borders. By the standards of the Indian type, the 1907 is plentiful in bagmarked Mint State grades, since pieces were careless stored as bullion holdings or bank reserves. At the MS67 level, however, the 1907 emerges as a significant conditional rarity. Census: 19 in 67, 1 finer (11/06).(Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28GF, PCGS# 8852, GSID# 9746)
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
Weight: 16.72 grams
AGW: 0.53oz
