1796 10C --Repaired, Tooled, Cleaned--ANACS. AU55 Details. JR-2, R.4. This is a well defined example that would deceive many advanced collectors. Medium tan-gold and steel-blue toning conceals subtle hairlines, perhaps from a mechanical brushing. The fields are suspiciously unabraded, but the only noticeable repair is on the obverse rim at 10 o'clock. The eye appeal is nonetheless substantial.
