1787 1C Fugio Cent, STATES UNITED, Four Cinquefoils AU53 PCGS. Newman 9-S.1, R.7. This is an extremely important opportunity for the advanced Fugio Cent specialist. This variety was lacking from the Ford Collection Sale. The present example is an earlier die state than the Mint State Norweb Collection coin. This example is finer than the reverse photo in Kessler, and may be second or third finest known. Listed on page 83 of the 2006 Guide Book.From The Oak Collection of American Colonial Coinage.
